A global favorite!

Probably one of the best books around about Okanagan wineries. We bought this book to learn about wineries, and to choose which ones we wanted to visit.

John Schreiner's Okanagan Wine Tour Guide is an extensive, thorough book that details more than a hundred Okanagan wineries and vineyard by name. He includes lots of interesting information about winery history, fun stories of his travels, maps, addresses, telephone numbers as well as website addresses. John Schreiner is a wine expert who has traveled in the Okanagan sine 1984. He writes for Wine Access Magazine and also spends time judging international wine competitions.

Other books he's written include Wineries of British Columbia (2004) and British Columbia Wine Country. If you're interested in learning about all the wineries from an unbiased expert point of view, this is a great book to start with. If an update comes out in the future, it won't contain a lot more information other than adding new wineries since 2007.

We're working really hard to make Okanagan Vacation Guide a one-stop website for information and everything you need to enjoy the best vacation you can and make the most of your time in this beautiful region of British Columbia.
