Personally, we're not avid golfers, but we do like to get out now and then to play easy par 3's. Those who know us agree that we should stick to the mini golf where we can't tear up the fairways!

With the Okanagan Valley being one of the great places to retire in British Columbia, there are many private golf communities and homes that are designed for active retirement living. South Okanagan Golf

The South Okanagan Valley is primarily desert country, being situated in the Sonora Desert.

The climate is hot and dry, desert cactus and antelope brush dominate the landscape.

You'll find great golf courses, RV and golf resorts, in the city of Penticton, Oliver BC, Osoyoos, and around the South Okanagan.

Visit Twin Lakes golf course, St. Andrew's (near Kaleden), Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort & Spa in Osoyoos, N'kmip Canyon Desert Golf Course, and Fairview Mountain Golf Club.

Golf courses in the South Okanagan are beautifully laid out in the rolling desert hills surrounded by lush Okanagan vineyards.

Central Okanagan Golf Courses

Kelowna is the largest city in the Okanagan Valley, with a population of over 100,000, and it's one of Canada's most popular vacation destinations.

Centrally located in the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna enjoys a dry climate and mild temperatures year round, making it exceptionally suited for summer and winter activities outdoors.

There are numerous golf courses to choose from in and around the city of Kelowna and the Central Okanagan region.

The Central Okanagan Regional District golf courses around Kelowna, include Peachland BC, Westbank (Westside), Lake Country, Winfield, and the Mission area of Kelowna.

North Okanagan Golf

The North Okanagan is situated in the northern part of Okanagan Lake and the Kalamalka Lake area.

The beautiful grasslands of the North Okanagan make this region uniuqe to the Valley. The North Okanagan, Vernon BC, the district of Coldstream, Armstrong BC, Spallumcheen, Enderby BC and Mabel Lake area have many beautiful places to golf.

The city of Vernon is the largest city in the North Okanagan, is located between Okanagan Lake and Kalamalka Lake, and is surrounded by the Monashee mountains. Nearby Silver Star Ski Resort makes Vernon an excellent winter vacation destination as well.

You can find a variety of accommodations for golf vacations, including the beautiful Predator Ridge Resort, and great RV & golf resorts. All together there are about 8 golf courses in the North Okanagan to choose from.

Shuswap British Columbia Golf Courses

The Salmon Arm area in the Shuswap Lake region is more dense with forest and has clearly distinct seasons, but still offers enchanting golf destinations.

The Shuswap region is situated amongst the beautiful Monashee and Rocky Mountain ranges. Shuswap Lake, Anglemont, Chase, Blind Bay, Sicamous BC, Sorrento, Mara Lake and Canoe Creek are a few of the destinations with excellent golf vacations opportunities.

There are the Shuswap golf courses we found that offer a variety of golfing amenities, RV and golf, play and stay, and family golf holiday!

Many people enjoy house boating holidays along with golf vacations in the Shuswap area, and there's plenty of room aboard a houseboat for your golf clubs! Some Shuswap golf resorts will let you dock your boat at their moorage, and deliver you directly to the fairways!
