There's something so relaxing about browsing through summer farmers markets in the Okanagan BC, especially early in the morning when the breeze is gentle and there's an aroma of fresh brewed coffee in the air.

Okanagan Valley farm markets are one of the things we anxiously await for as the first signs of spring appear each year.

You can find fresh market produce, organics, fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan goods, arts and crafts, freshly made and delicous baked goods, and enjoy local music and great entertainment.

Farmer markets in the valley generally begin to open in April or May, and run through early fall.

These take place both during the week (depends on community) and generally always on the weekends.

Most markets begin at around 8:30 a.m. and run usually until about 1 p.m. and there are some evening markets as well.

Everything is fresh, locally produced or grown, and if you want local Okanagan fruit from the farmer's markets you get the best fresh picked fruit in season.

You can also find handcrafted original arts and crafts by local artisans. It's a great place to find souveniers or gifts.

Cash is the general method of payment; be sure to have some on hand :-)
