The Peach City Beach Cruise is the place to be if you enjoy antique & classic car shows. Every year in June, Penticton BC has this great family friendly event to kick off to a summer Okanagan vacation!
The beach cruise takes place along with the Penticton Elvis Festival. Hundreds of cool classic cars and antique cars and trucks of all kinds come from all over to parade and display their collections!
There is live outdoor entertainment, free music concerts, delicious food and other entertainment for 3 days of fun!
It's all about super cool classic cars... The Bumblebee Transformer, the same as the Camaro from the Transformers movie, was one of our favorites...well, one of the kids favorites.
There are so many cars to look at. It's hard to pick a favorite.
On the Friday evening of the show, all the cars and trucks, parade through Penticton, and along Lakeshore Drive, the Magic Mile, where they end up for visitors to tour around and admire them.
Antique cars, collector cars, hot rods, and custom classic cars and trucks of all kinds.
Some people found touring by pedal car easier than walking!
And when you feel like a break from looking at all the beautiful collector cars, you can head over to Gyro Park for some live entertainment.
This tribute artist really got the crowd really going with some great music!
And then, the Blues Brothers showed up!
If you are at the Peach City Beach Cruise coincides with the Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival, so you get double the entertainment and fun!
This is one of the best of antique classic car shows around! But if you can't make it, there are other classic car and bike shows in the Okanagan Valley too.
The Beach to Peach Parade of all the classic cars in the show takes place on Friday night of the festival. It starts at the south end of the city of Penticton, near Skaha beach, and they all cruise up to Okanagan Lake beach where they end up parking for viewing.
Hats, sunscreen and water are a must if you plan to attend during the day as it can be hot. Bring beach gear - towels, blanket, swimsuits - if you want to spend some time on the beach or swimming. This is the perfect place.
There are lots of local food vendors at the beach cruise and you'll find them around the entertainment area at Gyro Park. Bring cash.
It's a mile (1.6 km) from one end of Okanagan beach to the other. So plan for lots of walking. There's a parking lot near Loco Landing and the skateboard park at the west end of the beach. Gyro Park, where the entertainment takes place, is at the other end of the beach near the Penticton Lakeside Resort.
