Okanagan Falls BC Winery

See Ya Later Ranch, just on the outskirts of Okanagan Falls, BC is one of many Okanagan wineries with some dog gone great wine! Great wines of British Columbia are a part of Okanagan life and culture.

Though we personally don't often have time away from kids, when we do, it's nice to visit a winery, or even spend an afternoon enjoying our own Okanagan wine tour (something we locals sometimes take for granted).

See Ya Later is about 5 km (3.5 miles) from the community of Ok Falls.

As you drive up the winding road to the winery, you begin to admire the stunningly beautiful views of the Okanagan Valley and Skaha Lake.

When we arrived there we were pleasantly surprised by the peaceful surroundings and a special focus of this winery.

They love dogs!

Previous owner's of this beautiful Okanagan winery (we're not sure if it's the original owners), at one time had over 10 dogs, who were dear to the ranch.

Those dogs who have since passed still have a special place in the yard near the original house.

And there an angel looks over them.

Today there are stil a couple of friendly dog's that still live there.

When you visit, there's an area outside where your pets can simply relax, while you enjoy selecting your wine of choice, tasting, or have lunch on the patio enjoy the views and sounds of nature.

You can bring your dog to the winery with you anytime, but in the fall, during the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival it's a time dedicated to dogs.

See Ya Later has a special Dog Days Of Summer event.

Owner's, along with your canine companions gather at the ranch, where the dogs can roam around while you taste wine and learn about British Columbia wine and the wine making process.

There have been more than a hundred furry faced attendees at this event in the past!

Getting back to great British Columbia wines.....

For us there's nothing better than sharing good times with friends and enjoying a great bottle of wine together, and that's just what we did with the bottle of Jimmy My Pal that we took home.

See Ya Later Wines

Many of See Ya Later Ranch Wines are named after some of the pets that the original owner of the vineyard had, including Jimmy My Pal, Nelly, and Rover.

They also produce other white wines including their own Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, Pinot3, Brut, and a Reisling.

Red wines you can get here include Pinot Noir, Ping and their Red Rover.

And finally, See Ya Later Ranch is open year round.

See Ya Later Ranch is located at the top of Hawthorne Mountain:

Okanagan Falls, BC

Follow Okanagan Highway 97 south to Okanagan Falls. Take Green Lake Road (just before the bridge) to the right and follow the signs. If you get all the way to Green Lake, you've gone too far.
