Parasailing in the Okanagan is not something we get to do every summer, but rather one of those fun things to do only on a vacation or once every few years.

Okanagan Vacation Guide top kid's first parasailing Okanagan adventure was one of his favorite things to do so far!

The whole ride was about 20 minutes long, and there's no getting wet. You take off and land right on the boat!

Here's what he said about this ride over Okanagan Lake!

You can fly single for just around $70, or for a bit more get a t-shirt and photo too. For two people to fly tandem (two at a time), the cost is about $100, but if you're looking for a thrilling high ride with never ending views of the valley, it's a fun adventure.

You get a lesson on safety before you go up, life jackets and other safety gear, and they take pictures so you can grab a souvenier like a t-shirt afterwards.

The mountain in the background above is Giant's Head Mountain in Summerland.

In Penticton, the parasailing takes place directly in front of the Penticton Lakeside Resort, and in Kelowna, you'll find the parasail at the Grand Okanagan Resort.

During the summer both are open from 9 a.m. until dusk, weather permitting. You can fly single or tandem, and they also have group and private party rates available, t-shirts, hats, and photographs if you want souvenirs to take home.
