Okanagan Fruit Picking Season & Schedule

Hi there. Thank you for your newsletters, my husband and I really enjoy them. As usual we are planning our vacation from Calgary to Kelowna and would like to be there for the cherry and peach season, can you tell us when that is expected this year as we need to book our accommodations asap. Thank you!

Cherry season is much earlier than peaches in the Okanagan. Harvest times on our harvest schedule page are general guidelines, blossom times are average, and weather dependent.

In the South Okanagan you can usually get cherries until mid July, which is also around the time that peaches begin to harvest. So mid July is an approximate time when you could get both.

Likewise in the Central and North Okanagan, with fruit harvest generally being 2 to 3 weeks behind the southern valley.
