Elephant Island Winery - Naramata BC

I couldn't help but share this winery on the Naramata Bench near Penticton. Since I love sweet dessert wines, this was the perfect choice for me! I went there for the Raspberry wine, which they unfortunately weren't tasting that day and were also sold out of. But what I did find was two of the most delicious fruit wines!! A Black Currant dinner wine and a Crab Apple dessert wine.

The Black Currant is exactly as the winery describes it; 'huge flavors of berry, bell pepper and pomegranate dominate, all backed by the singular crispness of currant'.

I took it home and had it with the suggested Greek Salad, with lots of feta, and all I can say is ..... more please!!!

A unique experience for sure! If you've never tried fruit wines, this is definitely a wonderful winery to do that!

The patio is nicely shaded, and surrounded by fruit orchard. There's also a small play area for children, so don't by shy to bring your kids!
