Cherry Season

What is the best time to pick cherries? We are planning our trip to Canada for this summer and would like to do some fruit picking.

OkanaganVacationGuide:

Cherry season generally begins in mid to late June in the South Okanagan, and Early July - Early August in the North Okanagan.

It is also weather dependent. A late spring means a later ripening of fruit.

Many people plan their trip to the valley specifically for fruit picking, and it's always best to check 2 - 3 weeks ahead of time to see if fruit is on schedule.

You can also call to any of the local orchards and they will let you know.
