Most people choose hotels, motels, or other types of accommodatons based on location and/or nearby amenities. Some people want to be close to the beach, and others don't mind driving, although it's not that far to get to a beach anywhere here.

In this section we've organized accommodations by city, and which hotels and motels are found near local beaches.

Kelowna Accommodations

Accommodations in Kelowna range from luxury Kelowna hotels and resorts along the lakefront and in the downtown cultural district which is close to the beach, to cheaper hotels and motels scattered throughout the city.

Penticton Accommodations

Penticton is a small city, where accommodations are friendly and travel to the beach, and travel around the city is quick and easy. There's one resort hotel, lots of motels, B&B's and such to choose from. Directly behind Okanagan Lake, along Riverside Drive, is the greatest selection of motels along the street known as "Sunset Strip".

Osoyoos Accommodations

Osoyoos BC is designated a four seasons resort community. As a small tourism based town, the population in Osoyoos triples during the summer months. Many motels and hotels in Osoyoos BC are found along Main Street past the downtown, and these are in easy walking distance to the small downtown area.

Vernon BC Accommodations

You won't find many Vernon accomodations right at a beach. Vernon is at the north end of both Kalamalka Lake and Okanagan Lake, and both lakes are at the outskirts of the city. Swan Lake, also nearby, is not a swimmable lake.
