Thank's for visiting our website and for your interest in learning more about us. We hope the information presented in this site is of great value to you. My name is Erika and I am blessed to live in the Okanagan Valley in beautiful British Columbia Canada for the past 12 years.

I love to travel and I love to write. I am the mother of one beautiful son, and the daughter of one beautiful mother.

From My Okanagan Adventure

It really began when I was young. I remember many a travel to the Okanagan with my parents and siblings, to visit family here. Coming to British Columbia Canada from the prairies, (the flat western Canada provinces Saskatchewan and Alberta), the Okanagan mountains seemed so huge in my young eyes.

Fruit trees, beaches and all the outdoor swimming pools were quite something of a dream vacation! Summer visits to Winfield BC, near Kelowna, where our cousins lived, and family holidays here created so many treasured memories for us. Kelowna was a smaller city then, and I still remember the old famous Flintstones amusement park where the 40 foot statue of Fred Flintstones stood at the gate to greet visitors!

To My Okanagan Home

Now, years later and with my own family, what started out as my Okanagan adventure has become my Okanagan home. We spend a great deal of time traveling throughout the valley, winter and summer, fully enjoying all that this magical paradise has to offer. And now our passion is to share this beautiful part of Canada with the world!

To Building Okanagan Vacation Guide Website

I've spent the better part of my working life as a nurse, and never really thought that one day I could also be an author, editor and creator of a website! And as I sit and write this page about Okanagan Vacation Guide, I get a little teary, because it feels a bit like falling in love for the first time!

I clearly remember the day that I discovered something very special and unique. Something that I knew, the very moment I saw it, that my life would change forever!

One day, while my little 8 year old son was at school, I was sitting at my computer surfing the internet, yet again, looking for a way to create a home based business; extra income and a way to be able to work towards being a stay at home mom.

I'd already tried a few different home businesses, but they really weren't for me. And that was ok. But I kept looking.

Then I clicked on something and there 'It' was!

I watched 'It'.

And then I read 'It'.

And then I fell for 'It'!

And I have never looked back because I knew 'It' was right!

'It' is what has brought me to where I am today. 'It' will take me to where I go tomorrow, and 'it' will stay with me always and forever!

What is 'It', you ask? 'It' is the tools I am using to author this website, and this page, about Okanagan Vacation Guide; the path that is leading me to be a stay at home mom and a work at home mom. 'It' is allowing me to create my dream! 'It' was created by one man. A man who believes in the success of everyday working people, like my family, who want to build and live their dreams. A man who, one day, I wish to meet and thank in person!

'It' is a family. One big family of people just like me, all with one commonality.

There is nothing like 'It' in the world!
